As a working parent, we have to juggle many things, including the juggle between earning a living and the cost of childcare!

Therefore as a working parent it is good to be informed about our options when it comes to the cost of childcare and any support we can get towards these costs.

If you are a working parent and pay for childcare, you should be checking now whether your employer offers a childcare voucher scheme and whether it is worth joining up. This is because as of 5th April 2018, the childcare voucher scheme as we know it, will be closing to all new applicants.

For those that work for an employer that doesn’t offer the childcare voucher scheme, this is good news as the Government has rolled out Tax-Free childcare, giving eligible parents 20% towards childcare costs up to £2,000 per child per year!

If you are unsure which scheme will work best for you, it is worth speaking with your employer to check if they provide a childcare voucher scheme and then working out which is the best option for you. Act now to ensure you are getting the best out of the options available!
